Future voices has a number of ongoing projects, each with the goal of fostering a safer, better, more inclusive college of nursing. See project details below.
Peer Support Network
An anonymous, student-monitored survey. See the flyer for more info.
Open student Forums
On a monthly basis, Future Voices hosts an "open student forum." This forum occurs during the third wednesday of every month, from 1:30-2:00PM.
The goal of the open student forums is to create a space for students of the CON (at all program levels- BSN to PHD) to discuss matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusivity at our school. Ideas are shared, concerns are discussed, and plans are made, all between students.
All students of the CON are welcome to join.
Used Textbook Drive
Future Voices is currently organizing a used textbook exchange.
Outgoing students can donate their textbooks to the FV textbook bank, and we will then re-home the textbooks with a new student who identifies that they are in need of assistance.
To request or donate textbooks, contact email@example.com.
Highschool student mentorship program
Future Voices has created a mentorship program between CON students and students at Hinckley High School that are interested in healthcare careers. This program is intended to empower local high school students to consider healthcare careers, and to ultimately increase diversity within healthcare, and specifically nursing. This program requires a maximum commitment of 3hrs per month of mentees, who must be active members of Future Voices. If you are interested in serving as a mentor in this program, please fill out the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfpZv68jDYCyI2NWQZKe0jO7tedwkPTmRE2e0Tz47zqP96SYA/viewform?usp=sf_link
